GNOME is a desktop environment for Unix-like systems composed entirely of free software.
Simple and Easy to Use. Every part of GNOME 43 has been designed to make it simple and easy to use. The Activities Overview is a simple way to access all your basic tasks. A press of a button is all it takes to view your open windows, launch applications, or check if you have new messages. Having everything in one convenient place means you don’t have to learn your way around a maze of different technologies.
GNOME is a desktop environment that is composed entirely of free and open-source software. GNOME was originally an acronym for GNU Network Object Model Environment. Its target operating system is Linux, but it is also supported on most derivatives of BSD.
GNOME is developed by The GNOME Project, which is composed of both volunteers and paid contributors, the largest corporate contributor being Red Hat. It is an international project that aims to develop software frameworks for the development of software, to program end-user applications based on these frameworks, and to coordinate efforts for internationalization and localization and accessibility of that software. GNOME is part of the GNU Project.
After 17 years of collaboration (we begin with GNOME Hispano), the link between FreeWear.org and GNOME is very powerful. We collaborate in GNOME events. FreeWear donate a portion of the sales of GNOME materials in this website.
